1、Date的用法
date可以表示“约会”的意思，既可以用作名词，也可以用作动词。但是date一般用来表示和异性之间的亲密约会，所以使用的时候要注意场合。
例如你可以说：
Tom will have a date with Alice this afternoon so I'm not going. 汤姆和爱丽丝今天下午有个约会，所以我就不去了。
但是你不能说：
I can't be there as I have a date with my colleagues.
date with sb. = have a date with sb. 和某人（必须是异性）有个约会。
2、Appointment的用法
Appointment表示一般意义上的约定和约会，没有明显的感情色彩，因此用途比date广，既可以用于异性间，也可以用于同性间。
例如：
I can't be there as I have an appointment with my colleagues. 我去不了了，因为我和同事约好了。
Let's set an appointment on next Saturday morning. 我们就约在下周六上午吧。
Please confirm the appointment at 3pm tomorrow. 请确认一下明天下午三点的安排。
1) have an appointment with sb. 和某人有个约会。
2) set an appointment. 定一个时间（见面等）。
3) confirm an appointment. 确认约会（约定）。
3、Reschedule的用法（重新安排，另约时间）
I may not have enough time in the coming few months, so let's reschedule the classes later. 接下来几个月我可能没有足够的时间，所以关于上课我们以后另约时间吧。
4、一些与老外约时间和因故另约时间的英语表达
1) Can we meet at 5pm tomorrow at the gate of Donghua University? 明天下午5点我们在东华大学门口碰面好吗？
2) Today's appointment is cancelled due to the heavy rain. 由于雨太大
3) Can we postpone the meeting to 7pm as I feel sick now? 我们把会议延期到晚上7点好吗？我现在觉得不舒服。
4) I can take that job as I have pretty many free time slots in the evenings. 我可以做那个工作因为我现在晚上很空。
5、老外约会的确认
老外和你确认约会时间和地点通常不是去重复说一遍你的约会安排，他们一般这样肯定：
1) I'll be there.
2) That sounds good.
3) See you there at 3pm.
4) cya (see ya的简写)
